"I wrote Lights Go Out (where this intro melody comes from) in April 2020. I was alone in my apartment day after day, starved of physical contact, talking to loved ones on the phone and just wishing we could be in the same room to touch each other again. The fear was ever present, and the desire for escape had never been stronger. The song opens with, “Tell me how you’ve been,” an opener that used to feel so mundane, but suddenly felt so inadequate to express the distance and depth of our individual and collective pain." -Suzanne
